Summary: VHS copy of super 8mm films made by Basil Gill during the mid 1960s. The film comprises of three main sequences. The first sequence shows St James Church Summer Fete, which includes images of young and older people taking part in races; fancy dress competition, horse riding in Foots Cray Meadows; parade by a Sea Scouts band and parachutists landing in the meadows. This is followed by scenes from in and around Foots Cray Meadows, including the Five Arches Bridge. The last sequence shows the new North Cray under construction and Foots Cray High Street.
