The archive consists of films and production materials from the mid-Sixties onwards, many showing the reflections and experiences of overseas students from all over the world, who studied here over the decades, capturing the zeitgeist with their reactions to social and political change.

London Film School is a post-graduate film school in London, situated in a converted brewery in Covent Garden. LFS was founded in 1956 by Gilmore Roberts and is the oldest Film School in the UK.

Black Theatre of Brixton (1975) is a standout documentary about how a number of black social workers and playwrights struggle to open a theatre workshop in the London black ghetto of Brixton. In spite of the desparate opinions of the community and lack of funds, the nucleus of the workshop succeeds in involving growing numbers of people in a theatrical context to express some of their deepest emotions, both social and political.
